Riz Andalas
HipHop, R&B, Soul, Alternative Indie
Raised in Jakarta, Indonesia, and now based in Aachen, Germany, 25-year-old artist Riz Andalas crafts a sound that effortlessly moves between Hip-Hop, R&B, Soul, and Alternative Indie. His songwriting explores universal human emotions through the lens of the third-culture kid experience, giving a voice to those living in the cultural „in-between.“ Performing alongside his musical collaborators, Riz honors his Sumatran heritage by adopting the island’s ancient name, Andalas, and wearing the traditional Songket as a visual reminder that wherever his music takes him, his heart stays rooted in the soil that raised him.
